My name is Junko, and I am an illustrator based in Seattle, originally from Japan.

I specialize in creating airy, watercolor-style illustrations.

Before starting my illustration career, I studied Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design and spent 20 years working as a visual designer in the high-tech industry. After years of working with technology, I felt a strong desire to step away from the digital world and create more human-centered artwork. This shift led me to embrace a more analog, traditional approach to illustration.

My goal is to create art and stories that bring warmth and kindness, especially in today’s digital age. I hope my work can offer them a sense of calm and joy in a world that is often overwhelmed by technology.
